GIRSAL donated an amount of twenty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 20,000) to the Ministry of Agriculture in support of the 37th National Farmers Day celebration. This gesture was to appreciate the efforts of our gallant Ghanaian farmers, as well as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility. The check for the donation was presented by Miss Afia Serwaah Owusu Sekyere, the Corporate Affairs officer.
The company participated in the week-long event in Cape Coast starting with a presentation at the Agricultural Forum on Thursday 2nd December 2021, and ending with the main awards ceremony on Friday 3rd December. The presentation titled “Improving Access to Finance: 5 Key Factors that Contribute to Successful Agricultural Loan Applications Based on GIRSAL’s Experience in Assessing Loan Applications” was delivered by Mr Kwasi Duah Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Knowledge Management).
GIRSAL also participated in the Agribusiness exhibition held at Adisadel College Park to inform the public about our mandate, offerings and results.
Our participation enabled us to engage individuals and organizations working in the agricultural sector and identify potential partnerships to help accelerate the effort to grow the agri-finance sector.
