Kingsford Owoo is the Head of Information Systems and Technology at GIRSAL, where he provides strategic leadership for the organization’s information systems, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital innovation. His role is focused on aligning technology initiatives with GIRSAL’s mandate and strategic objectives, while ensuring robust governance, resilience, and operational efficiency.

He is a highly accomplished information systems and technology professional with over fifteen years of progressive experience spanning IT governance, software development, enterprise systems implementation, and digital transformation within financial services and professional institutions. His expertise combines strong technical depth with strategic leadership in delivering technology-enabled solutions that support organizational performance.

At GIRSAL, Kingsford leads the design, development, and implementation of enterprise technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and support data-driven decision-making. He oversees IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity controls, systems architecture, and technology investments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Prior to joining GIRSAL, Kingsford served as Senior IT Manager at the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG), where he led enterprise systems management and digital initiatives. He also previously held the roles of Head of IT and Operations at AllTime Finance and IT Manager at FirstTrust Savings and Loans, supporting core financial systems, infrastructure modernization, and regulatory compliance. In addition, he has provided consultancy services to organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG), offering advisory support in software solutions, IT controls, and systems improvement.
