Samuel Yeboah

Chief Operating Officer

Samuel Yeboah serves as the Chief Operating Officer of GIRSAL, providing strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s agricultural portfolio, value chain development initiatives, and enterprise support activities. He leads the agribusiness and operations teams in evaluating and recommending agricultural projects submitted by Partner Financial Institutions for Credit Risk Guarantee coverage.

He is an accomplished Agribusiness, Agri-finance, and enterprise development specialist with over twenty-five years of experience promoting private sector participation in agriculture in Ghana and across Africa. His professional background includes extensive experience in managing agricultural finance interventions and supporting the development of commercially viable agribusinesses across multiple value chains.

Samuel brings strong expertise in managing credit guarantee instruments and delivering agricultural financial support services to financial institutions and agribusinesses. He is highly skilled in agricultural value chain analysis, strategic business planning for agribusinesses, stakeholder coordination, and fostering effective public–private partnerships. He also has significant experience providing technical leadership and support for donor-funded agricultural and agrarian development projects.

Prior to joining GIRSAL, Samuel spent seven years managing Jei River Farms, a commercial agribusiness engaged in the production and export of pineapple, passion fruit, and mango to markets across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His combined experience in agribusiness operations, finance, and value chain development continues to support GIRSAL’s mandate of catalyzing sustainable agricultural lending in Ghana.

Samuel holds a Master’s degree in International Development Administration from Andrews University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Cape Coast. He is a Certified Expert in Sustainable Agriculture Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and holds a Certificate in Agriculture and Rural Finance from Luxembourg.
