Mr. Nicholas Afrifa is an accomplished banker and financial consultant with over 24 years of experience spanning the manufacturing sector, banking, and financial advisory services, particularly for fund managers and financial institutions.
He brings to GIRSAL a strong background in strategic financial management, risk oversight, and operational leadership. Before joining GIRSAL, Mr. Afrifa served as Head of Finance at PDB, a subsidiary of Jospong Group of Companies. He also provided consultancy services to Halifax Asset Management, a licensed fund management company, advising on financial operations and investment strategies.
Mr Afrifa has held several key positions throughout his career, including Head of Finance and Finance Manager at Ideal Financial Holdings and Ideal Finance, respectively. He also served as Finance Manager at FirsTrust Savings and Loans and as Head of Internal Audit at Ezi Savings and Loans Company, where he played a key role in strengthening internal control systems and regulatory compliance.
He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and received his accounting education from the Institute of Professional Studies (now UPSA) and the London College of Accountancy, UK. He also holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Universidad de Costa Rica.
