Non-Executive Director

Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa is a leading advocate for agricultural development in Ghana, recognised for her sustained work in advancing inclusive agriculture, farmer empowerment, and value chain growth. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, where she works with farmers, women, youth, rural communities, persons with disabilities, and emerging agribusinesses to strengthen livelihoods and build resilient agricultural systems.

Her work has earned international recognition, including the Rally Mulheres do Agro Ambassador Award and the 2024 Agrifood Prize, reflecting her consistent leadership and innovative contributions to shaping the future of food and agriculture.

Ms. Akosa has initiated and led several nationally impactful agricultural platforms and interventions focused on capacity building, leadership development, market access, and innovation within the sector. Through these initiatives, she has promoted women’s participation in agriculture, supported agribusiness growth, influenced mindset change, and fostered partnerships across public and private sector actors.

She also plays a key role in organising Ghana’s National Farmers’ Day Exhibitions in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Beyond Ghana, her work includes co-founding the Ghana–Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber and serving on advisory platforms supporting poultry farmers and global food systems engagement. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, trade promotion, and inclusive sector development.
