Dr. Benjamin Amoah has worked in various capacities, including the Statistics Canada, Department of Finance in Canada, and the Bank of Ghana, where he served as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), the Bank’s main Monetary Policy formulation Committee.

At the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Amoah serve in various capacities including the Director, Monetary Policy Analysis and Financial Stability Department; Director, Financial Stability Department; Director, Economics Department and, Director, Research Department before being appointed as an Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, where he retired in January 2020

Dr. Amoah has extensive experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, with excellent management skills acquired through formal education and work experience. He has served as a Non-Executive Director on the Governing Boards of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), Produce Buying Company Ltd (PBC), Ghana Tourist Development Company (GTDC), and First Finance Company (FFC).

Dr. Amoah holds a PHD in Economics from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, MA Economics from Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, and BA (Hons) Economics with Statistics, University of Ghana, Legon.
